Engineering Technician – Sunday through Wednesday 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM

Position Summary

Catalent is looking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join a growing team at our site in Woodstock, IL.

The Engineering Technician is an exciting role focused on productivity and process improvement initiatives at our Woodstock, Illinois site. The Engineering Technician will work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to support and improve manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues, planning and executing equipment test runs, supporting equipment maintenance, and updating process, equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting documentation. This role will assist our engineers with collecting data and delivering value added solutions. You will have the opportunity to manage smaller projects, build or procure smaller equipment and perform installation, testing and provide process support for equipment validations.

The Role

  • Aids in determining process capabilities and bottlenecks, implements improvements and develops contingency plans for capacity/productivity increases through use of statistical thinking and methods to understand process variability and capability.

  • Teams with Maintenance and Manufacturing to support, identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize downtime. Recommend solutions to Maintenance, Manufacturing and/or Engineering.

  • Develop, assemble, procure or modify existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods

  • Assist Engineers with revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures, including writing change orders and deviations.

  • Provide technical input to investigations and provide data and possible solutions for PRs.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree or a post-secondary technical degree

  • Minimum 3 years work experience (regulated setting preferred)
