Manager, Network & Voice Services
The Manager, Network & Voice Services will report to the Infrastructure Director, IT.
The role will be responsible for managing a team of network engineers responsible for supporting Catalent global network. The individual will be experienced in a broad range of network technologies including WAN, LAN, VPN, VoIP, Load Balancing, Wi-Fi and firewall technologies.
This position is global in scope and is supporting Catalent teams across all Catalent sites.
The Role (daily responsibilities)
Development of technology roadmaps in support of data network services and supporting technologies.
Act as a thought leader in the identification and adoption of new technologies where applicable to Catalent; Lead the implementation and project support of infrastructure technologies where required.
Communicate regularly with management, the project team, and other project stakeholders regarding project activities including planning, progress, issues and resolution, budget, change orders, timelines, etc.
Manage the Global Network Operation team providing end to end infrastructure support in a 24/7/365 environment.
Identify trends in hardware failures and engage manufacturers to identify and remediate defects.
Generate reports for management to display vendor performance, service availability, network performance and change management.
Ensure timely action on alerts and resolutions for incident tickets are maintained.
Implement and follow ITIL based work flow standards – Incident Management, Change control and Problem Management, Event Notifications, Disaster Recovery, Failover and Root cause analysis. Operational experience with IP networking, network hardware, Network Security/Firewall Management, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc.) and Wide Area Networks.
Oversee and maintain LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all data centers and external business partners
Manage third party vendors and external service providers to deliver to agreed service levels
The Candidate (requirements)
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant Science Field, or equivalent in working expertise; CISSP, CCNP or JNCP desirable
7+ years’ in leadership roles leading global network teams supporting the full lifecycle management; design, implementation and support
Broad based knowledge of IT infrastructure; Knowledge of Cisco & Juniper network devices; Knowledge of network security tools and best practices; Knowledge of Cisco and Avaya unified communications technologies and support VoIP in a global environment
Designing global network infrastructure and support models
General knowledge of server, storage, infrastructure management tools and techniques; LAN, WAN, VLAN and network security technologies, components and protocols.
Experience managing financial budgets; Project Management and/or ITIL certifications
