Manager External Reporting

Catalent is recruiting for a Manager External Reporting to work in its Global Controllership team which is collectively responsible for all consolidation, external reporting and technical accounting for the Company.

Position Summary

The Manager External Reporting reports to the Director, Assistant Corporate Controller.

The Manager External Reporting is primarily responsible for SEC reporting and certain corporate level accounting for equity compensation and all other employee compensation matters. The Manager External Reporting works closely with the VP, Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller on other certain technical accounting matters such as purchase accounting, segment reporting, pension valuation and restructuring. The Manager External Reporting is a key position within the Catalent Corporate Finance team and has significant interaction and involvement with business unit VPs of Finance and other key functional leaders such as Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, Corporate Development, Internal Audit and FP&A.

The Role (daily responsibilities)

  • Primary Controllership team member responsible for the SEC reporting process including working with the Assistant Controller on dividing team responsibilities and coordinating the external audit process for external reporting matters

  • Provide advice and consultation to VP Controller and Assistant Controller regarding key SEC reporting topics and themes and ensure adherence to current reporting requirements

  • Responsible for working with the VP Controller, Assistant Controller and the Executive Compensation team in reviewing equity compensation awards and the respective accounting

  • Primary Corporate Controllership team member overseeing all employee related accounting topics such as pension, deferred compensation, employee stock purchase plan and restructuring across the Company

  • Providing coaching, leadership and review responsibilities for two other Controllership team members who primarily responsible for the global consolidation process

  • Continually reviewing the internal process for improvements

The Candidate (requirements)

  • Seven to 12 years progressive accounting and finance experience in public accounting or with a publicly traded company.

  • Previous experience with SEC reporting and working with a multinational complex matrix organization

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting/Finance

  • CPA or demonstrated progress toward CPA

  • Pharmaceutical or Life Science Industry a plus
