Manager, Continuous Improvement & Operations Excellence

Position Summary

The Manager, Continuous Improvement & Operations Excellence is responsible for all aspects of our Clinical Supply Services business. This person will be overseeing the Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence projects. The Manager, Continuous Improvement & Operations Excellence will engage globally with our CSS network and leadership team within Catalent. The Manager, Continuous Improvement & Operations Excellence will also be responsible for the operational compliance for quality investigations

The role of the Manager, Continuous Improvement & Operations Excellence is critical to the end user which are our patients. Processes need to be created and implemented with patient safety in mind, executing with efficiency always. Quality, safety and on-time delivery is a must to be successful in this role!

The Role

  • Ensuring the full compliance to OSHA and cGMP regulations always and working in concert with a cross-functional team to ensure that the Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence and Operational Compliance projects meet the required standards of the internal and external customers.

  • Organizing, managing, developing and implementing project plans, processes, and systems to ensure timely project completion, in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, internal company standards and current industry practices.

  • Building and sustaining employee engagement by creating a culture of efficient execution and an environment in which individuals and the team can excel and continuously improve.

  • Drive implementation of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence projects within budgets.

  • Work closely with Clinical Supplies Services Global Network team on global CI/OpEx projects and initiatives.

  • Change agent and support of management of change

  • Support initiatives related to year over year energy reduction

  • Support (and accountable) all departments with investigations, complaints, audit responses, process improvement and training for deviations and complaints as well as the subsequent Corrective and Preventive Actions.

The Candidate

  • Associate Degree required with a minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in a GMP regulated environment. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Engineering or Science

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and possess strong written and verbal communication

  • Experience reviewing and performing investigations which include root cause analysis and identification effective corrective and preventative actions.

  • Supervisor and Managerial experience

  • Possess strong negotiation skills and extremely strong interpersonal skills

  • Possess the ability to work under tight and emergent deadlines along with extended shifts or overtime to meet deadlines

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt preferred
