Account Executive, Cosmetics North East

Position Summary

The Account Executive, will be a part of the Global Cosmetics Business Development Team within the Softgel Technologies business unit and responsible for managing new business opportunities, as well as, existing business.

The Role

  • Assure the achievement of the Business Development revenue and new wins targets

  • Grow book of business in terms of New Wins through effective selling and negotiations

  • Maintain existing relationships through an elevated level of Customer Service and through contract renewals

  • Primary POC for all prospects and customers, liaise with Italian and Swiss Business Units (R&D, Customer Service, Forecasting, Supply Chain, etc.) to provide seamless experiences for existing customer and prospects

  • Prepare marketing & technical presentations, as well as, Business Review presentations for existing customers

  • Attend global or local sales meetings as required

  • Prepare customer call reports, maintain Salesforce and other reports as required through based on the Miller Heiman philosophy

The Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the cosmetic industry, capsule technology a plus

  • Proven sales & technical skills and able to manage commercial, marketing & technical presentations

  • Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills; Flexible, collaborative team player

  • Solid cosmetic expertise, current book of business preferred

  • Good contacts within the cosmetic industry, at management level e.g. R&D, Marketing, BD and Purchasing Senior Managers levels

  • Good knowledge of the Cosmetic market in terms of Products, Trends, Marketing Strategies, Channels of sale, etc.

  • Results focused, a hunter able to penetrate new customers

  • Preferred knowledge and experience in Miller Heiman and Salesforce

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, PowerPoint and, Excel

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Willing to travel domestically regularly (approximately 50%) and internationally as required
