Senior Associate, Upstream Manufacturing (Sunday - Wednesday)

Position Summary

Do you want to work for a world class leader with state of the art equipment? Do you have at least three years of experience in an aseptic, sterile manufacturing facility? As a Senior Associate you will independently perform cGMP Biomanufacturing production activities with minimal supervision. Perform daily review of executed cGMP documentation (BPRs, forms) and coordinate with Supervisor to prioritize and schedule activities to meet established deadlines. The Role

  • Operates and troubleshoots cGMP Biomanufacturing equipment such as pH/conductivity meters, mixing tanks (SUMs), tubing fusers/sealers, filter integrity testers, peristaltic pumps, balances and Biosafety Cabinets (BSC) or Laminar Flow Hoods (LFH)Maintains effectiveness of Quality system

  • Stages raw materials/components for use within cGMP Biomanufacturing

  • Operates assigned Biomanufacturing equipment, including incubators, bioreactors (SUB), filtration equipment and controlled-rate freezers.

  • Performs processes of small and large scale cell culture production of mammalian cell lines, including cell counting, cell passaging and culture metabolite analysis.

  • Performs cell cryopreservation activities.

The Candidate

  • M.S./M.A. in Biotechnology, or related field, with no prior experience; OR B.S./B.A. in Biotechnology, or related field, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related laboratory work; OR Associates Degree/Certificate/Diploma in laboratory science with minimum of 4 years’ experience in related laboratory work. Will also consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in related laboratory work.

  • Clean room, aseptic technique, and/or general lab equipment experience.

  • cGMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) knowledge.

  • Following standard operating procedures (SOP). Experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting Biomanufacturing equipment in an Upstream department or related role

  • Preferred: Experience with SUBs, SUMs, Unicorn and/or Delta V software(s). Experience with Trackwise, Compliancewire or other electronic tracking software.
