Assistant Scientist, Analytical Development - Formulation

Position Summary

Catalent is looking to recruit an Assistant Scientist, Analytical Development - Formulation to join a growing team in Madison, WI.

The Assistant Scientist, Analytical Development - Formulation position will perform a variety of

laboratory procedures to support Analytical Development. The Assistant Scientist, Analytical Development - Formulation will perform daily work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner. The Assistant Scientist, Analytical Development - Formulation will independently evaluate, select and apply standardized scientific and techniques; assignments have clear and specified objectives, and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. This position relies on limited experience and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices in making minor adaptations and modifications.

In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, this role aids in providing critical data throughout the entirety of process development. Data that ultimately is used to decide on the final process to produce the best product for our clients.

The Role

• Assists in the execution of all activities related to the analysis of proteins from mammalian cell

culture and process development ranging from SDS-PAGE analysis, ELISA analysis, various HPLC based methods, cIEF and product binding assays• Assists in developing and qualifying of assays• Accurately records experimental data/observations in data sheets or lab notebooks• Reviews and verifies analytical data and reports ensuring accuracy and consistency• Accurately ships samples to clients and fills out appropriate paperwork

The Candidate

• MS in Biotechnology, or related field with no previous industry laboratory experience• B.S/B.A. in Biotechnology, or related field with at least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a laboratory

environment • Associates Degree/Certificate/Diploma in laboratory science with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a laboratory

• At least 1-3 years in a biotech laboratory setting with general laboratory equipment experience,

including micropipettes
