Catalent Pharma Solutions Logistics Supervisor in Kansas City, Missouri
The Logistics Supervisor monitors daily operation of the Logistics Group including direction of daily activities as necessary and actively assist, resolution of problems/issues with Quality Assurance and internal and external clients. This position will report to the Operations/Management team and will reside at the Kansas City, MO site.
Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
Supervise the processing of shipments both inventory allocation and verification to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Assist with tours, client audits and shipping investigations.
Lead or assist with the planning/implementation of procedural changes related to the Logistics group and identify/report cGMP compliance issues as necessary.
Provide input for associate's performance reviews for assigned associates. Participate in performance reviews and feedback to associates. Also assist in the new hire process and training of new associates.
Coordinate, communicate, plan and integrate between the Logistics Group and other departments to meet deadlines and agreed timeframes.
Open and clear communication with direct reports and managers.
Advises Project Managers on correct shipping materials and documentation to order for domestic/international studies.
Communicates clearly with internal and external clients, both verbal and written.
Respond to sponsor or other CRO inquiries regarding shipments.
Coordinates any special arrangements with couriers.
Education or Equivalent: High-school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
At least 3 years’ experience supervising teams in the processing of shipments, both inventory allocation and verification, is preferred.
Strong organizational skills related to management of associates daily activities is required.
SOP's and GMP/cGMP compliance experience is preferred.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, etc.) is required.
Experience assisting with tours and client audits and training/directing others is preferred.
Pharmaceutical or related experience (regulated industry, such as food/beverage) is preferred.
