Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit 2 x Production Operators (Encapsulation Night Shift). These are positions requiring sound mechanical, problem solving and logical reasoning aptitude, responsible for:

  • Operating intricate equipment and machinery

  • Following processes and procedures in our GMP licenced Pharmaceutical Production facility requiring compliance with set standards of Safety, Quality and Productivity, and

  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

These roles specifically involve:

Environmental Health & Safety:

  • Ensuring all safety requirements and improvements are followed and complied with.

  • Following all Company standards and apply safety procedures at all times.

  • Identifying safety improvements and deficiencies in processes, procedures and the workplace.

  • Ensuring PPE is used correctly and replaced when required.

  • Ensuring Company property is kept in good working order at all times.

  • Attending all safety training as requested.

  • Reporting any unsafe practices, processes or behaviour immediately to your Senior/Front Line Manager.

  • Physically able to repeatedly handle loads of 15kg

  • Able to meet the physical demads of the position.

Technical Requirements:

  • As per our current Manufacturing/Production Worker Grading Classification for 1A.

  • Participating in Team Meetings including; Tool Box Meetings, Kaizen Workshops, Safety Talks, Workplace Inspections etc.

  • Following and complying with Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Shop Floor Instructions and other procedures as instructed.

  • Raising any issues that affect or impact on GMP, Quality, Safety, Instructions, and the operation of any equipment and machinery etc. immediately.

  • Being accountable and responsible for the quality and safety of your own work.

  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and at the time required.

  • Ensuring all ComplianceWire (online) Assignments are completed prior to the due date.

  • Applying Lock-out Tag-out procedures as instructed.

  • Participating in 5S activities and continuous improvement suggestions.

  • Working well with others within a team environment.

  • Working in any area of the production facility as required.

  • Be able to legally work in Australia on an ongoing basis as these roles are permanent positions.

    • Communicating with others effectively and appropriately, as per the Code of Conduct and related policies, and respectfully with a range of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrating positive behaviours, enthusiasm and generate ideas to improve the workplace.

  • Proficient reading, writing and understanding English written and verbal communication.

  • Completion of Secondary/High School or a Trade Certificate is desirable.

  • Must have demonstrable sound Mechanical, logical reasoning and problem solving aptitude.

  • Have the ability to learn to master machinery and equipment in the Encapsulation Department.

  • Must preferrably be working in or have worked in dairy/food/pharmaceutical/FMCG or a GMP environment.

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.

  • Demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrate team based skills.

  • Competent English language and mathematical skills as per GMP environment requirements, i.e, must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal English communication and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentage etc. equations.
